Wayne is a self-taught photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. He comes from a strong BMX and Mountain Bike background both locally and Internationally, and this is where he first picked up a camera to start documenting the action that was happening around him.
This environment has helped shape his photographic and project skills in a unique way, enabling him to be highly versatile & adaptable. He is equally comfortable working as part of team on a commercial endeavour or working alone with an athlete, on an adventure shoot. As an outdoor enthusiast, he is happiest when hiking up a mountain, shooting from the back of a motorbike or hanging out an open helicopter door. What sets him apart is his ability to work in challenging and dynamic working conditions, whether under pressure or in extreme environments.
Wayne attended the Red Bull Photo Academy last year and was a semi-finalist in the International Red Bull Illume Photography Competition in 2016 and 2019.
